How to Get Involved
Fire Victims United (FVU) is a 501c3 charitable organization that provides the basic essentials and temporary accommodations needed to relieve and comfort citizens of the Metro Detroit area who have been displaced by a fire emergency. Our mission has helped hundreds since 2012 and given others the opportunity to give back to their community.

Donate Funds
Monetary donations are always welcome and tax deductible. The funds we receive allow us to purchase the needed resources, supplies, and necessities that are provided at no cost to victims of residential fires. Financial contributions are also used to cover the costs related to hotel accommodations arranged as temporary and safe shelter for several days following the traumatic event.

New or gently used clothing items, toiletries, and other basic necessities like toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, soap, etc. are welcomed donations. Click here to see a list of items we are currently seeking.
If you would like to donate these or other items, please complete the donation form. One of our team will contact you to make arrangements to collect the goods. These tax deductible donations are highly valued and greatly appreciated.

How would you like to volunteer* your time and energy to help fire victims? We currently need help collecting, counting, and packing inventory items, which are provided as necessities to victims of residential fires.
We welcome retirees, families, teens, and others who believe in supporting their community through part-time volunteering opportunities.
